Understanding the Challenges Faced by Students with Special Needs
Students with special needs often face significant challenges in today’s traditional and general education settings. Many are placed in overcrowded classrooms where teachers may lack the time, training, or resources to provide the individualized support they require. As a result, these students may struggle with academic progress, experience heightened anxiety, or feel isolated socially and emotionally.
Students with learning differences—such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia, or processing disorders—often contend with environments that prioritize standardized testing over personalized instruction, making it difficult for them to thrive.
